When a solar prominence began to rotate into a position to give us a side view perspective of it, we got a great view of the interaction of strands of plasma shifting back and forth above the Sun's surface (Apr. 8, 2015). Prominences are elongated clouds of plasma suspended above the Sun's surface by magnetic forces. The image was taken in extreme ultraviolet light. The video covers about 6 hours of activity.
